About The Position
The Fisheries Technician 1 position focuses on monitoring Chinook and Steelhead salmon populations in collaboration with NOAA fisheries and various agencies. The role involves fieldwork primarily at Lower Granite Dam, where the technician will sample juvenile and adult salmonids, tag them, collect biological data, and manage field equipment and data. This position requires flexibility in work hours, including weekends and holidays, and is based out of the Idaho Department of Fish and Game regional office in Lewiston, Idaho.
