Specific Job Information: The majority of the work will be in Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness for mountain lakes fisheries sampling including native and non-native sportfish, with a typical work week consisting of 4 days and 3 nights of backpacking. When not in the back country, a typical work week will be 3 to 5 days of field work to evaluate environmental conditions and fish populations in streams, rivers, lakes, and reservoirs in Region 5 with an emphasis on prairie streams. Additionally, personnel may necropsy fish and assess gut contents, assess potential spawning habitat, and provide information regarding access and camping.
