About The Position
This job posting will be used to fill 3 Limited Term vacancies. The positions involve conducting interviews of anglers fishing in various locations in Michigan, including Lake Michigan, Lake Huron, and Tawas Point State Park. The primary responsibilities include counting anglers engaged in different modes of fishing, identifying the species of fish caught, and collecting biological information such as lengths, weights, fin clips, sex, state of maturity, and scale samples. The objective of these duties is to enable the Fisheries Division to estimate sport fishing catch and effort at important ports. The positions are limited term from 4/28/2025 to 9/5/2025.
