Under the direction of the Rivers and Streams Program Manager, assist with coordination and implementation of rivers and streams programs (e.g. Cool Water Stream Management Plan, Aquatic Habitat Program, Natural Legacy Project) and monitor, protect and enhance fish communities and aquatic habitats statewide. Collect, develop, and implement the completion of fish data collection in the field and analysis. Include assessment and investigation surveys of both abiotic and biotic parameters to support further understanding of functioning rivers and streams statewide. Collaborate with landowners, contracted consultants, and other government agencies, to deliver technical expertise. Monitor the status and perform maintenance and calibration of equipment. Assist with design and implementation of aquatic habitat improvement projects. Attend/present latest research findings at meetings/conferences. Work closely with the academic faculty and students grant funded projects. Prepare technical reports and maintain records. Complete other duties as assigned.
