Nice To Haves

• Six months to one-year related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Point-Of-Sale (POS) systems experience a plus

Responsibilities

• Ensures all fish and fish habitats are cared for in a manner that best ensures pet health and customer safety.
• Maintains a high level of animal husbandry through proper opening, daily, and closing procedures by following checklists and procedures.
• Maintains a high level of customer service and sales in the Fish Department through the use of the Petland Mission, 5-Step Sale and 4-Basic Needs sheets.
• Maintains a high standard of appearance and professionalism.
• Ensures that fish and reptile health is monitored, and proper records are maintained.
• Maintains a high level of presentation by properly decorating and maintaining the tanks.
• Conducts regular fish and reptile inventories and maintains accurate related documentation.
• Purchases and prices fish as needed using internal tools and resources.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
