Forsyth County Department of General Services is seeking a highly motivated team player with financial accounting experience, to join the General Services Team as a Fiscal Technician. This position focuses on energy and utilities usage and consumption across County facilities. The tracking and reporting of the data is used to support County sustainability initiatives. Therefore the ability to interpret utilities invoices is critical. The position will also be responsible for resolving billing issues with the providers and ensuring payments are applied correctly. The Fiscal Technician provides administrative and fiscal support to the General Services Administrative office. Duties include draft correspondence, data entry, letters, labels, reports, and filing. Distributes correspondence and other material to appropriate people and orders supplies. Process invoices, filing and tracks payments for utilities accounts across all County facilities, to include but not limited to electricity, water/sewer, and natural gas. Enter requisitions, purchase orders and contracts as requested. Enter energy and utilities usage and consumption data into tracking and management software. Provide reports from tracking and management software as requested. Processes credit card transactions, performs accounts payable tasks, and uses basic accounting to resolve financial issues. Process photo id requests for security clearance into the Courthouse, process work orders, order supplies, maintain office calendars. Provides support for fiscal operations and department budget. Cover office assistant and administrator duties and submit uniform orders as needed.
