The Fiscal Technician will carry out financial processes of the department pertaining to both state funds and the Research Foundation funds. This includes setting up spreadsheets and/or databases, recording, monitoring, and reporting budget information, reconciling accounts, and resolving discrepancies with the Banner system. The technician will assist the chair and the department manager with the annual budget process, monitor account balances, and recommend adjustment actions. Additionally, the role involves completing the paperwork processes for payroll and purchasing activities.
