About The Position

Provide fiscal support to accurately and efficiently record and balance all financial activities; to ensure proper case management procedures are followed; to review, analyze, and process a range of data and reports in accordance with Department of Corrections (DOC) and Department of Accounts (DOA) policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in an accounting/bookkeeping setting performing detailed work with numerical data and mathematical calculations.
  • Recent experience using basic office equipment including the operation of a 10-key calculator.
  • Recent working knowledge of office procedures, data entry, and record maintenance.
  • Demonstrated skill in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel spreadsheets.
  • Skilled in effective interpersonal and written communication.
  • Ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures and guidelines.

Nice To Haves

  • Additional knowledge of accounting/bookkeeping or equivalent training and experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of Commonwealth Financial Programs including CARDINAL, FAACS, Offender Trust, and Offender Pay.
  • Knowledge of Commonwealth travel policies and supervisory experience.
