This role focuses on performing routine accounting and fiscal tasks such as data entry, processing invoices, and assisting with the preparation of financial reports and budgets.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of accounting principles and financial management practices.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to learn and apply fiscal processes and systems.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent required; an associate’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience entering and processing purchase requisitions in a financial or administrative system.
  • Familiarity with basic accounting and finance principles.
  • Prior experience working in a finance office, accounting department, or cash-handling environment.
  • Ability to serve as backup for cash receipts, including preparing and making deposits accurately and timely.
  • Experience handling confidential financial information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Familiarity with mail distribution and courier functions in an office or institutional setting.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with standard office software (e.g., QuickBooks, Microsoft Word, Excel, email systems).
  • Ability to work independently while also supporting a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and dependable work habits.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in processing invoices, payments, and financial records.
  • Perform data entry and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Assist in the preparation of budget documentation and reports.
  • Review financial documents for accuracy and completeness.
  • Respond to basic fiscal inquiries and provide general support to fiscal staff.
