About The Position

We are seeking a full-time Fiscal Manager for our Finance department. This position is primarily responsible for maintaining the monthly and year-end accounting cycle, generating periodic monthly and year-end financial reports, and supervising the fiscal staff.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience using Sage Intacct or similar accounting software.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • At least 5 years of accounting experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory role.
  • Working knowledge of UKG Ready or similar payroll systems.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
  • High level of accuracy, sound judgment, and commitment to quality improvement.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment, demonstrating professionalism, reliability, and punctuality.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Administration or a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise bi-weekly payroll operations (UKG), ensuring accurate and timely processing, compliance, reporting, garnishments, terminations, audits, and year-end filings.
  • Oversee payroll accounting, including journal entry approvals, GL reconciliation, clearing account analysis, and retirement plan funding coordination (Fidelity/NBS).
  • Supervise fiscal team members and review work for accuracy and compliance.
  • Manage accounts payable processes, including invoice review and approval within Sage Intacct.
  • Oversee monthly bank reconciliations and prepare related journal entries.
  • Review and analyze key balance sheet and expense accounts, including payroll, prepaid expenses, investments, leases, net assets, and fund accounts.
  • Lead month-end and year-end close processes, prepare financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, variance analysis), and support annual budget development.
  • Monitor daily cash flow, manage inter-account transfers and credit line usage, and support external audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting.
