The FIS Banking Systems Developer position at Horizon Corp in San Antonio, TX, is a contract role focused on enhancing, maintaining, and upgrading core banking applications. The developer will be responsible for conducting gap analyses, developing web services, and supporting both online and batch programs, ensuring that the banking applications meet the evolving needs of the organization. In this role, the developer will administer and maintain several key systems, including FIS Systematics, Fiserv PEP+, and SHAW systems. The position demands proficiency in mainframe software such as Z O/S, WebSphere, CICS, and various programming languages and tools including COBOL, JCL, DB2, and SQL. The developer will also be tasked with upgrading and enhancing Fidelity FIS Banking Applications for Frost National Bank/Insurance, which includes transitioning to the latest software versions and ensuring compliance with industry standards. Key responsibilities include designing and developing CICS web service programs for online banking transactions, modifying electronic fund transfer modules to adhere to NACHA standards, and performing rigorous testing of upgraded systems. The developer will work closely with other team members to ensure that all enhancements and upgrades are executed smoothly and efficiently, contributing to the overall success of the banking operations.
