Diagnoses, repairs and disassembles transfer cases and other products to help diagnosis quality issues and reduce scrap. Standard Duties: Observes products in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble/abnormalities. Dismantles products to identify and remove any defective parts. Process defective part through nonconforming material procedure Inspect good components to verify they are conforming and able to be returned to the assembly line. Repairs or replaces any defective parts. Lubricates and cleans parts. Evaluate rejects and determine root cause. Enter evaluation data into spreadsheet to create a report including FTQT Log and FPY spreadsheet. Introduces rework material to the line in accordance with the DDRM, (Defect Diagnosis and Repair Manual) Actively works to minimize rework/reject material inventory Other duties as assigned. Lifting shoulder high up to 35 lbs repetitively. Stepping up and down off lift; walking long distances over extended periods. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The noise level in the work environment is moderate. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus. Working in a non-climate-controlled environment. Repetitive motion activities including but not limited to box cutting, standing, lifting, loading/unloading carts.
