Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 to 3 months in a similar position.
  • Must pass appropriate testing to advance in the ABC program.
  • Lift 30 lbs frequently, 50 lbs occasionally.
  • Frequent sitting, occasional walking/standing.
  • Reaching, bending, gripping, pinching.
  • Constant hand/arm use.
  • PPE: safety glasses, gloves.
  • Shift: First shift (Monday-Friday 6:00am-2:30pm).
  • Knowledge of the English language, including grammar and instructions, to accurately read job orders, safety protocols, and technical documents.
  • Understanding of mechanical tools and machines, including proper usage, routine maintenance, and basic troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with production and processing practices such as material flow, quality standards, and output tracking.
  • Awareness of public safety regulations and procedures for ensuring a secure work environment.
  • Active listening and communication skills to effectively understand instructions and collaborate with team members.
  • Strong attention to detail when inspecting parts and recording production data.
  • Time management and task prioritization to complete duties within shift schedules.
  • Basic troubleshooting and decision-making to identify and respond to production issues.
  • Manual handling skills for positioning materials and safely using hand tools.
  • Ability to maintain steady hand and arm movements during repetitive tasks.
  • Good near vision for inspecting small parts and detailed measurements.
  • Physical stamina to stand, lift, and bend during extended production runs.
  • Capacity to work independently and stay focused amid noise and distractions.
  • Dexterity to handle small components and perform precise machine operations.

Responsibilities

  • Operate mechanical presses to punch, cut, and form metal components.
  • Manually load and unload raw materials from machines.
  • Monitor machines for quality and safety compliance.
  • Record daily output and report production issues.
  • Assist with die changes as trained.
  • Follow AS9100 and company quality standards.
  • Identify hazards in the workplace and report them to management and/or the safety coordinator.
  • Collaborate with the EHS department to meet local, state, and federal regulatory requirements, including OSHA, NFPA, DNR, EPA, and Amphenol sustainability practices.
  • Work with the Quality department to ensure compliance with AS9100 certification standards.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
