About The Position

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a First-Line Production Control Manager (Level K) to join our dynamic team in Oklahoma City, OK. Position Responsibilities: Manages employees analyzing supply chain material requirements, developing and optimizing inventory planning and synchronizing supply chain demands. Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals. Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements. Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports. Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes. Manages, develops and motivates employees. Boeing First-Line Leader Assessment: To be considered for this position you will be required to complete an assessment as part of the selection process. Failure to complete the assessment will remove you from consideration. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in supporting Operations, Materials Management and/or Supply Chain functions in a production environment
  • 3+ years of experience using all the following Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • 3+ year experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • 3+ year of experience with Material Requirements Planning (MRP), including the use of GOLD or a similar MRP system
  • Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross-functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership”

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • Advanced knowledge of supply chain strategies (inventory reduction, parts kitting, supplier consolidation, optimum flow, lead-time reduction)
  • Ability to apply principles of systems thinking to accelerate performance (inter-relationships between components of systems and plans)
