About The Position
Urgent Care for Children is seeking a dedicated Patient Service Coordinator to be the first point of contact for patients. This role involves guiding patients through the check-in and check-out process, updating patient information, and verifying insurance eligibility and benefits. The Patient Service Coordinator will also be responsible for answering multi-line phones, triaging calls, and providing excellent customer service, which is key to the patient experience and first line of care. The position requires processing payments from patients for co-pays and cash payments, ensuring the accuracy of patient data in the EMR system, and following standard operating procedures. Additionally, the coordinator will provide support and guidance to patients as needed, maintain an organized and clean front desk area and waiting room, and foster respect for patient privacy by maintaining confidentiality in all phases of work.
