Requirements

Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred
Possession of a valid Pennsylvania teaching certification appropriate to assignment OR the ability to obtain necessary emergency certification based on the district’s needs
Demonstrated commitment to equity-centered teaching and continuous improvement
Strong instructional planning, classroom management, and communication skills

Responsibilities

Design and deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction that develops students’ critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity.
Establish a classroom environment where all students feel valued, challenged, and supported.
Integrate real-world applications and interdisciplinary connections to support authentic learning and transfer.
Use culturally responsive instructional strategies that honor students’ identities, experiences, and perspectives.
Use formative and summative assessment to monitor student progress and adjust instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
Communicate effectively with families and caregivers as partners in student learning.
Engage in continuous professional learning aligned to district priorities and instructional best practices.
Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and administrators to improve instruction and student outcomes.
Maintain accurate records related to instruction, assessment, and student progress.
Uphold district policies, professional ethics, and Pennsylvania Department of Education requirements.
Contribute positively to the school community and district culture.
Perform other duties as assigned.
