About The Position
Primary Purpose: Provide instruction to students in both English and Spanish to support academic success and language development. Create an engaging, supportive classroom environment that promotes growth in content knowledge, bilingual proficiency, and cultural understanding.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- Valid Texas teaching certificate
- Texas Bilingual Certification (EC–6 or applicable grade level)
- Knowledge of bilingual, ESL, and sheltered instruction strategies
- Strong proficiency in English and Spanish (oral and written)
- Knowledge of Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS)
- Ability to design and deliver effective instruction for emergent bilingual students
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with staff, families, and administrators
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with bilingual or emergent bilingual students preferred
