HOK is a collective of future-forward thinkers and designers who are driven to face the critical challenges of our time. We are dedicated to improving people's lives, serving our clients and healing the planet. Together, we cultivate a culture of design excellence at the confluence of art and science, blending the power of creative expression with a clear sense of purpose. HOK, a global architecture, design, engineering, and planning firm, is seeking a Firmwide Design Technology Manager (DTM) to join our Corporate Advanced Technology Group. This is a hybrid position and may be based in either our Los Angeles office (The Row DTLA, 757 S. Alameda St.) or our Seattle office (1200 5th Avenue), with on-site presence required three days per week. As a Firmwide DTM, you’ll responsible for shaping HOK’s long-term vision for design technologies and ensuring project teams can deliver high‑quality work efficiently. You'll play a key role in developing and maintaining software standards and training, supporting regional Design Technology staff, performing quality reviews, and providing expertise to broader firm initiatives. The responsibilities of this position will vary over time with changes in technology and model-based processes, so staying up-to-date with emerging technologies is crucial. The ideal candidate for this role is someone who combines strong technical expertise in design software with a strategic, forward‑thinking mindset. They are passionate about improving processes, developing standards, and helping teams work more efficiently. This person is a natural mentor who enjoys training and supporting others, communicates clearly, and builds trust across teams. They stay current with emerging technologies, are comfortable managing projects, and can represent the firm professionally in industry settings. Above all, they are collaborative, adaptable, and committed to maintaining HOK’s high standards for quality, innovation, and sustainable practice.
