Lockheed Martin is seeking a Mid Career Firmware Engineer specializing in FPGA Design to support design and architecture development, implement FPGA designs, and troubleshoot these designs. This role is part of a collaborative team focused on innovative solutions in aerospace technology, emphasizing work-life balance and employee development.

  • Support design and architecture development for FPGA designs.
  • Implement FPGA designs and integrate them into larger systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to FPGA designs.
  • Collaborate with a small agile team of engineers to build innovative products.
  • Develop technical solutions to complex problems in FPGA design.
  • Experience with FPGA architecture and design, specifically with Xilinx, Intel, or Microsemi FPGA devices.
  • Technical expertise to implement designs with minimal direction.
  • Ability to exercise considerable latitude in determining technical objectives using current technology such as FPGAs, Microprocessors, DSPs, and Interface Controllers.
  • Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to efficiently perform on multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong working knowledge of digital signal processing functions related to radar and electronic warfare capabilities.
  • Extensive VHDL firmware programming capability applied on FPGA devices.
  • Experience with Xilinx Vivado, Intel Quartus, or Microsemi Libero development platforms.
  • Familiarity with Mentor Questa HDL simulator and UVM verification techniques.
  • Experience with MATLAB modeling, Nvidia CUDA, OpenCL, Simulink HDL Coder, and Xilinx System Generator.
