About The Position

This role is responsible for leading the Firmware Project Management Office & Strategy team. This worldwide team of Agile Practitioners and Technical Program Managers provides agile leadership for firmware features supporting Commercial Systems. The role collaborates with cross-functional teams, sets technical direction, and ensures the successful delivery of high-quality firmware products. The role allocates resources effectively, manages workloads, and assigns tasks to software firmware engineers based on project needs.

Requirements

  • Four-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
  • Typically has 10+ years of job-related experience or 8-10 years of management experience, preferably in firmware development, or a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Defines and drives the overall firmware development strategy, setting technical goals, priorities, and milestones.
  • Set and monitor OKRs and KPIs to support evidence-based decision making
  • Interpret data and communicate insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Champion organizational transformation by identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing innovative solutions
  • Act as a change agent to foster a culture of adaptability and continuous improvement
  • Establishes alliances with other departments and organizations by recognizing dependencies in order to assess potential partnership and commitment to the program.
  • Manages headcount, deliverables, schedules, and costs for multiple ongoing projects, ensuring that resources are appropriately allocated and that goals, objectives, timelines, and budgets are met in accordance with program and organizational roadmaps.
  • Drives innovation and integration of new technologies into projects and activities in the firmware design organization.
  • Coach the team on collaboration patterns, team cognitive load, and organizational adaptability
