The company is seeking an Embedded Software/Firmware Engineer III to join its growing team. This challenging opportunity involves shaping the development of new products, focusing on technologies that integrate software and hardware within the connected home. The position reports directly to the Firmware Lead and aims to support the development of world-class mobile solutions for direct-to-consumer products and business partners.

Requirements

  • BS or MS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics and Communications Engineering.
  • Strong embedded systems knowledge.
  • Must hold 3+ years of work experience in an embedded linux or RTOS environment.
  • Proficiency with C, Git, and Jira.
  • Experience in design, development, and testing of complex, multi-threaded embedded IoT applications, and communication protocols via I2c, SPI, UART, and others.
  • Experience with writing drivers.
  • Can complete tasks independently.
  • Mentor junior engineers.

Nice To Haves

  • Zephyr experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Designing and implementing new features to existing and our latest access control applications.
  • Work with internal and/or contract firmware developers and architects involved in design and system architecture discussions, hardware analysis, and application design.
  • Collaborate with the hardware team during design, development, and integration.
  • Developing and maintaining firmware for a few different hardware platforms.
  • Participate in code review process, unit testing, feature integration work, and assist team members with best coding techniques in building best embedded firmware applications.
