This is an engaging and challenging opportunity that plays an intricate role in shaping the development of our new product. We are looking for a passionate Embedded Software/Firmware Engineer who wants to live on the edge of technologies that bring software and hardware together, within the connected home. This position will report directly to the Firmware Lead. We are seeking an engineer to support our efforts in building world-class mobile solutions for our direct-to-consumer products, as well as our business partners. What you will be doing Impact: You will be designing and implementing new features to existing and our latest access control applications. Collaborative Culture and Environment: You will work with internal and/or contract firmware developers and architects involved in design and system architecture discussions, hardware analysis, and application design. Collaborate with the hardware team during design, development, and integration. Programming: Developing and maintaining firmware for a few different hardware platforms. Continuous Learning: Participate in code review process, unit testing, feature integration work, and assist team members with best coding techniques in building best embedded firmware applications.

Requirements

  • BS or MS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electronics and Communications Engineering.
  • Strong embedded systems knowledge.
  • Must hold 3+ years of work experience in an embedded linux or RTOS environment.
  • Proficiency with C, Git, and Jira.
  • Experience in design, development, and testing of complex, multi-threaded embedded IoT applications, and communication protocols via I2c, SPI, UART, and others.
  • Experience with writing drivers.
  • Can complete tasks independently.
  • Mentor junior engineers.

  • Zephyr experience preferred.
