About The Position

Carterwill is recruiting for a Law Firm Administrator that has 5+ years of HR/Operations experience. In this position you will be at the forefront of hiring and guiding non-attorney staff, while ensuring smooth operations for the office, facilities, and equipment. The ideal candidate must have leadership qualities, excellent communication, organizational skills, and a passion for teamwork.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, human resources management or a closely related field or the equivalent experience.
  • 5 -7 years of progressively responsible work experience with legal or other professional service organizations.
  • Must be able to perform the essential duties of the position with time constraints, interruptions, and busy personnel.
  • Ability to travel occasionally and work more than 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise non-exempt staff personnel.
  • Recruit, screen, test, hire, and onboard personnel.
  • Administer performance reviews and make salary and bonus recommendations.
  • Ensure responsibilities are fair and equitable.
  • Oversee PTO of support staff and ensure coverage during staff absence.
  • Monitor work hour schedules, lunch hours, and overtime.
  • Prepare and deliver disciplinary notices and performance improvement plans.
  • Assist with the planning and execution of office events and functions.
  • Evaluate needs and recommend plans for improving efficiency and use of technology for all offices.
  • Assist in the preparation of the annual budget.
  • Plan seating arrangements, set-up new offices, and move employee seating assignments as necessary.
  • Review and approve monthly vendor invoices.
  • Responsible for file systems and procedures and offsite storage.
  • Maintain facilities and manage the messenger, mail, and delivery services for the offices.
