About The Position

The accepted candidate will work on projects to support process improvements applied to the Environmental Technologies processes. These projects may include evaluating the impacts of firing process variables on end product attributes, identifying incoming product attributes that impact the firing process yield, and projects geared at increasing manufacturing throughput through firing process innovation.

Requirements

  • Enrolled in an Undergraduate or Graduate Level Engineering program; preference for Material Science, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Actively enrolled at a college or university as a full-time student seeking a Bachelor's Degree or higher.
  • Available for 10 weeks during Summer 2025 (May-August 2025) with a graduation date of December 2025 or later.
  • Interested in working for Corning, Inc after graduation, if presented with a full-time job opportunity.
  • Willing to work at the posted job location.

Nice To Haves

  • Understanding or experience with thermodynamic principles.
  • Basic understanding of ceramic sintering process.
  • Collaboration in a multicultural environment.
  • Experience with Six Sigma DMAIC or similar principles.
