Job duties may include: Apply fireproofing materials in new and existing commercial construction applications Inspect work to ensure the installation is complete per approved shop drawings Able to complete masking and tarping responsibilities Able to read and understand thickness and structural drawings Perform mixing of plaster material to desired consistency Apply scratch, brown or finish coats of plaster to walls and ceilings for a uniform finish Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe environment Able to work from elevated platforms (e.g., lifts, scaffolds) On-the-job training offered This position is safety-sensitive.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must be comfortable working from heights and elevated platforms such as scaffolding or lifts
  • Able to withstand prolonged periods standing and working outside
  • Physically able to perform assigned tasks
  • Must be able to lift 40 pounds at a time
  • Ability to perform basic math
  • Must have reliable transportation

Responsibilities

  • Apply fireproofing materials in new and existing commercial construction applications
