Position Summary: Operations the boilers, Combined Heat and Power Unit (CHP) and related auxiliary equipment in a safe and efficient manner to meet the heat, cooling and power needs of the facilities and all other related duties.
Requirements
- 2nd class firemen’s license required.
- 0 - 3 years of experience.
- Knowledge of boilers and related auxiliary equipment.
- Candidate must have valid Massachusetts 2nd class steam fireman's license.

Responsibilities
- Inspects, records, and interprets gauges and meters, and performs tests for safety and informational purposes.
- Monitors Building Automation System (BAS) and notifies appropriate personal.
- Maintains, repairs, and cleans equipment, including filter and oil changes
- Regulates steam, cooling, and power created by CHP by manipulating or adjusting appropriate controls.
- Performs firing operations of the boilers and builds up the steam pressure needed according to the operating demands of the various areas.
