Under the supervision of the Boiler Room Foreman, you will maintain, operate, and repair all Boiler Room equipment, including boilers, pumps, compressors, fans, heaters, and turbines. This position will work 5 shifts per week as follows: Friday and Saturday - Midnight to 8:00 am Sunday, Monday, Tuesday - 8:00 am to 4:00 pm The Fireman Mechanic will also be required to work other shifts as needed for coverage by the department. Requirements
- Highschool diploma or GED
- 2 years of experience in high pressure Boiler Room operation and equipment maintenance, or equivalent work experience with high pressure steam equipment at NYP
