About The Position
The City of Staunton Fire and Rescue Department is currently accepting applications for a full-time Firefighter/EMT to play a key role in providing vital services to the City and surrounding areas. This recruitment will serve to fill immediate and future vacancies. Responsible for fire suppression, prevention, and inspection duties, as well as emergency medical service.
Requirements
- HS diploma/GED
- current certification as Fire Fighter II and EMT
- passing written and physical ability scores on regional firefighter test or acceptable equivalent
- Must be able to work 24-hour shift, weekends and holidays
- Must be able to provide copies of current certifications and the written/physical ability test certificate upon request
Nice To Haves
- Certification in Advanced Life Support
- DPO/Aerial Ops
