While we will hire a Firefighter EMT at the lowest level, we will prioritize those applicants with the higher levels of EMT and Firefighter certifications. If employed at a lower level, automatic promotion to the next level in the flex series will occur once a higher-level certification is acquired. WORKING HOURS AND LOCATION CCFR provides 24/7 emergency response for the City and Borough of Juneau. All permanent full-time positions work 24-hour shifts and live at the station during their shift. CCFR has two live-in stations, the Juneau station located in downtown Juneau, and the Glacier station located near the Juneau International Airport. In addition, we have Douglas, Auke Bay, and Lynn Canal Stations.
