About The Position
The Hawai'i Police Department - Records & Identification Division is seeking to fill one immediate permanent full-time vacancy in Hilo. The position involves reviewing, verifying, and processing applications for permits to acquire firearms and for the registration of firearms. The role includes conducting background checks, examining supporting documents, maintaining centralized files and records, and performing other related duties as required. The eligible list may also be used for other permanent and temporary vacancies as they arise during the life of the list, with temporary appointments potentially leading to permanent positions.
