Fire Watch Attendant
About The Position
Looking for responsible individuals to act as Fire Watch Attendants for a large production facility in Easton during maintenance shutdowns. No previous experience needed – paid training will be provided. Good communication skills a must. Part-Time/Days; shifts are usually 6:30 AM to 4:00 PM, though hours may change as needed. $19.30/hr. The Fire Watch Attendant monitors various jobs sites for potential safety hazards while repairs are being performed by maintenance crews. Employee will stand by and remain attentive at all times to ensure that there are no potential safety hazards on the job site. Must be able to alert fellow workers of emergencies and keep detailed records of job site activity.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent education preferred.
- Excellent verbal communication; must be able to understand and relay directions effectively.
- Ability to work in a variety of temperatures and weather conditions.
- Background check and drug screen required.
- Steel-toed boots required.
Responsibilities
- Watch for potential safety hazards in the workplace during routine and seasonal maintenance.
- Maintain the conditions and requirements stated during safety training.
- Promptly alert other workers in the event of a emergency or potential hazard.
- Wear all required protective gear and follow job site safety requirements as directed.
- Perform other relevant duties as requested.
