About The Position

Supports client and internal site operations by inspecting and repairing fire extinguishers. The position involves inspecting, repairing, and testing fire extinguishers using hand tools and monitoring devices. Responsibilities include dismantling extinguishers to examine mechanical parts, extinguishing agents, and expelling means; replacing worn or damaged parts; cleaning extinguishers and recharging them with approved materials; and assisting in fire safety inspections. Working conditions include restricted movement, on-site work, and lifting or carrying heavy objects. Additional duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent.
• State of Louisiana Type B Fire Extinguisher License required.
• 3 plus months fire extinguisher service experience.
• Current TWIC Card.
• Skill in inspection, repair, maintenance and testing techniques for fire safety equipment and systems.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driver’s abstract.
• Competent computer skills.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing effectively.
• Ability to work independently.
• Must be flexible to work long hours including on-call, weekends and holiday schedule.
• Willingness to travel.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in fire suppression preferred.
