The University of Virginia’s Facilities Management is seeking a knowledgeable and driven professional to serve as a Fire Systems Suppression Supervisor. As a member of the Fire and Life Safety team, the Supervisor is responsible for the leading service, inspection, maintenance and installation of all components of fire suppression systems across complex academic and hospital environments. The successful incumbent will possess extensive knowledge and experience maintaining complex and critical fire suppression systems ensuring all are installed, maintained, inspected, and tested in accordance with required state and local codes. This role provides a unique opportunity to combine hands-on technical expertise with meaningful leadership in a mission-driven setting where life safety systems directly protect patients, research, and learning. Operating with a high degree of independence and subject matter expertise, the Fire Systems Suppression Supervisor is responsible for guiding and developing a team of Technicians and Assistant Technicians to collaboratively achieve results.
