Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Knowledge of NFPA codes preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of commercial van driving experience preferred.
  • Ability to lift 75lbs with appropriate equipment to assist as part of normal daily job function.
  • Must possess a current, valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Willing and able to work a rotating on call schedule as well as flexible hours including early morning, nights, and weekends.
  • Current or prior experience using a variety of hand tools, power tools, meters, and pipe threading machines.
  • Current or prior experience in plumbing, pipe fitting, electrical, or construction preferred.
  • Well versed with the use of smart phones and other electronic devices such as iPads and computers.
  • Ability to successfully complete basic and recurring training and demonstrate knowledge retention.
  • Proven ability to work independently and with a team.
  • Ability to successfully pass a background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

  • Install, inspect, service, maintain and repair fire suppression systems, including kitchen hood and clean agent systems.
  • Service and inspect fire extinguishers, emergency lights, and exit signs.
  • Identify and correct code violations in compliance with NFPA standards and manufacturer specifications.
  • Troubleshoot and correct system issues effectively and provide timely solutions.
  • Accurately complete electronic job documentation using smartphones, tablets, or computers.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with customers, dispatch, and team members.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.
