About The Position
1st FP Services, LLC is a privately owned fire protection company specializing in the design, fabrication, installation, maintenance, and inspection of fire protection systems in commercial and industrial buildings. With offices in San Antonio, Austin, McAllen, Waco, Houston, College Station, Lubbock, and Laredo, we are proud to serve communities across Texas with integrity, safety, and excellence. We are seeking a Fire Sprinkler Technician to install, inspect, test maintain, and repair fire sprinkler systems in commercial and industrial settings. This role ensures all systems meet applicable fire codes, safety regulations, and company standards while providing reliable, high-quality service to our customers.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Willingness to learn and grow within the fire protection trade.
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Valid driver’s license preferred.
- Strong work ethic, punctuality, and a team-oriented attitude.
Responsibilities
- Install, modify, and repair fire sprinkler systems in accordance with NFPA standards and local codes
- Perform routine inspections, testing, and maintenance of fire sprinkler systems
- Troubleshoot system deficiencies and recommend corrective actions
- Identify and repair leaks, damaged components, and system malfunctions
- Complete service reports accurately and submit required documentation in a timely manner
- Communicate system issues and recommendations clearly to supervisors and customers
- Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with OSHA and company safety policies
- Coordinate with Lead and Service Manager as needed
- Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle in proper working condition
