About The Position

The Fire Sprinkler Service Technician is responsible for inspecting, testing, maintaining, and repairing fire sprinkler systems in accordance with NFPA standards, local fire codes, and company procedures. This role performs routine inspections, responds to service calls, diagnoses system deficiencies, and completes repairs to ensure systems remain operational, compliant, and reliable. The technician documents all work performed, communicates system conditions and recommended repairs to customers and internal teams, and supports emergency service and after-hours calls as required. This position requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a professional customer-service mindset while representing the company in the field.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience inspecting, servicing, and repairing fire sprinkler systems.
  • Nevada state fire marshal G card certification required.
  • Working knowledge of NFPA 13, 14, 20, 25, and applicable local fire codes.
  • Ability to diagnose system deficiencies, leaks, and performance issues.
  • Experience completing inspection reports, deficiency lists, and service documentation accurately and on time.
  • Ability to read and understand sprinkler drawings, riser diagrams, and system layouts.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Professional communication skills when interacting with customers, inspectors, and internal teams.
  • Commitment to safety, PPE use, and company policies.
  • Ability to work independently and manage daily service calls.
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to pass background checks and drug screening as required.
  • Ability to lift 60 lbs, climb ladders, and work in mechanical rooms, ceilings, and rooftops.
  • Must be able to obtain a work card from LVMPD. (required)

Nice To Haves

  • NICET certification (Inspection & Testing or Water-Based Systems).
  • Backflow certification.
