About The Position

The Fire Sprinkler Service Technician Level III is responsible for the inspection, testing, servicing, and repair of fire sprinkler systems and related components. This role ensures compliance with life-safety and fire-safety standards and codes, while maintaining a high level of customer service. The position is fast-paced and requires a technician who can work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience with water-based fire protection systems layout.
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations including fractions, decimals, and percentages.
  • Knowledge of basic computer functions and software applications such as Windows, Word, and Outlook.
  • A valid U.S. driver's license is required.

Nice To Haves

  • NICET III Certification in water-based systems.
  • State license in the relevant state for fire protection systems.

Responsibilities

  • Perform inspection and testing of all types of fire sprinkler systems according to NFPA 25 requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and perform service and repair of fire sprinkler systems and related components.
  • Record and document all inspections, repairs, discrepancies, and recommendations electronically or manually.
  • Maintain a positive relationship with customers and communicate necessary information to appropriate personnel.
  • Keep the service vehicle clean and stocked with necessary parts and equipment.
  • Evaluate customer sites for additional equipment and services needed.
  • Work in compliance with the company's safety program.
  • Perform emergency troubleshooting of sprinkler systems on-site or via phone.
  • Test backflow prevention devices as required by NFPA 25 and local codes.
  • Discuss deficiencies noted with customers and explain resolutions.
