About The Position

Responsible for assisting with the installation of fire sprinkler systems on construction and retrofit projects; this is an entry-level role supporting foremen and fitters by performing basic labor tasks while learning fire sprinkler installation techniques, safety practices, and code requirements. Requirements

  • High school diploma and 0-2 years’ experience; construction or mechanical experience a plus.
  • Basic computer skills, email.
  • Frequent standing, walking, crouching/bending, climbing ladders, and working at heights; ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs; ability to work in confined spaces and variable weather conditions; exposure to noise, dust, and construction environments.

Responsibilities

  • Assist fire sprinkler installers with system installation activities.
  • Carry, stage, and organize materials, pipe, fittings, and tools.
  • Cut, thread, and prep pipe under supervision.
  • Assist with hanging pipe, installing hangers, and setting sprinkler heads.
  • Support flushing, pressure testing, and system startup activities.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites.
  • Follow OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
  • Participate in safety meetings and on-the-job training.
