About The Position

As a Fire Sprinkler Apprentice with Century Fire Protection, you will work alongside a skilled Foreman to learn the installation of fire sprinkler systems across industrial, commercial, and residential applications. Requirements

• No prior fire protection experience required, but a demonstrated ability and desire to learn.
• Good mechanical aptitude and ability to work well with hands.
• Willingness to commute/travel to job sites as needed.
• Consistent attendance and punctuality.
• Positive attitude and desire to learn and strive for success.
• Ability to perform work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions.
• Ability to transport equipment and tools weighing up to 40 lbs.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Work with and learn from the Sprinkler Fitter/Foreman on the installation of fire sprinkler systems.
• Be trained in quality standards and various codes associated with fire sprinkler systems.
• Interact with customers daily.
• Assist Fitter/Foreman on sprinkler install jobs, traveling to job sites as required.
• Lay out and connect pipes using snap lock or wrench to tighten collar clamp.
• Attach revolving sprinkler heads to vertical pipes at designated points along the pipeline.
• Communicate safety hazards and discrepancies found on job site to foreman or superintendent.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Follow safety rules and requirements.
