About The Position
State Fire is looking for an experienced Fire Sprinkler Fitter to join our Boise-based team. In this role, you'll install, service, and maintain fire sprinkler systems at commercial and industrial sites across the region. Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in the fire sprinkler trade
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
- Physically capable of performing demanding field work, including lifting up to 70 lbs
Nice To Haves
- Completion of a fire sprinkler apprenticeship program
- Familiarity with MSHA, OSHA, and fire/building codes
- State-specific licensing or ability to obtain
- Basic computer literacy for using field apps and timesheets
Responsibilities
- Install and repair fire sprinkler systems, including wet pipe, dry pipe, pre-action, and deluge systems
- Read and interpret blueprints, building plans, and specifications
- Layout piping, hang supports, and join piping systems using appropriate tools and techniques
- Collaborate with job site foremen, trades, and general contractors
- Travel regionally for projects, with overnight stays as needed
- Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with NFPA standards and OSHA regulations
