About The Position

Responsible for the installation, assembly, and maintenance of fire sprinkler systems in commercial, industrial, and multi-family projects; ensures systems are installed according to NFPA standards, project specifications, and company quality and safety standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma and 1–5 years of experience in fire sprinkler installation or pipefitting
  • Knowledge of fire sprinkler installation practices and NFPA standards
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on skills
  • Microsoft Office applications, word, email
  • Field-based role at active construction and retrofit sites; requires endurance for extended periods of repetitive movements and moderate physical exertion
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching
  • Ability to climb ladders, stairs, or scaffolding and working at heights as needed
  • Manual dexterity to operate tools and equipment
  • Good visual and auditory acuity to safely handle inventory, read labels, and follow instructions
  • Work in confined spaces and variable weather conditions
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly
  • Exposure to noise, dust, and construction environments
  • Ability to tolerate working in varying environmental conditions, including temperature fluctuations
  • Overtime may be required

Nice To Haves

  • NICET certification or trade-related training preferred

Responsibilities

  • Install, assemble, and maintain fire sprinkler piping, fittings, and devices according to plans and specifications
  • Cut, thread, bend, and join pipes using hand and power tools
  • Read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications
  • Assist with pressure testing, flushing, and commissioning of sprinkler systems
  • Coordinate with foremen, other trades, and field personnel to ensure project schedule adherence
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and organized condition
  • Follow OSHA regulations and company safety policies
  • Participate in safety meetings and ongoing training
