Wayne Automatic Fire Sprinklers, Inc. is looking for Fire Sprinkler Fitters and Helpers in our Fort Myers branch to work in the surrounding areas. Requirements

• Construction experience preferred but not required.
• Basic knowledge of hand tools.
• Reliable transportation for travel within the local community.
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Must be able to wear proper protective equipment as required on all job sites.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test and pre-employment background check screening including 10 years of employment verification.

Responsibilities

• Install Fire Sprinkler systems accurately, on schedule, and within budget.
• Work with the Foreman on the job site to follow procedures, blueprints, and instructions to assemble and install pipes, tubes, and fittings.
• Connect fire pump valves and pipes using threaded, soldered, brazed, fused, or cemented joints and hand tools.
• Assist with and secure pipes to structure with brackets, clamps and hangers using hand and power tools.
• Run lines and sprinkler heads straight and in accordance with plans, adjust hangers, etc.
• Ensure systems are glued together properly and follow procedures to test the system for leaks.
• Attend monthly safety meetings at the local branch.
• Work outside on job sites for long hours in all seasons including summer months.
• Meet physical requirements including standing, sitting, bending, lifting, and climbing.
