Fire Sprinkler Designerâ¯participate in the estimating, tracking, start up and commission of projects, and will be the customer interface for all technical requirements of assigned projects. Requirements
- 2+ years' experience in fire sprinkler design/layout
- NICET level II or above
- NICET Water-Based Systems Layout
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and hydraulic calculation software
- Strong Knowledge of NFPA standards and local codes
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability and willingness to work in office and occasionally visit job sites
- Must be able to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
Nice To Haves
- 7+ years' experience in the installation and / or maintenance of Fire Sprinkler Systems
- Must be able to demonstrate ability to read/understand design and construction documents
- Associate or bachelor's degree preferred
- NFPA Certified Water-Based Systems Professional(CWBSP)
Responsibilities
- Design and layout fire sprinkler systems using AutoCAD/Revit and hydraulic calculation software.
- Prepare detailed shop drawings and submit plans for AHJ approval.
- Ensure compliance with NFPA 12, 13R, 13D, and local building codes.
- Perform hydraulic calculations and verify water supply adequacy.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other trades during design
- Review and interpret construction documents and specifications.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and meet deadlines.
