About The Position

The Fire Services Education Specialist Supervisor is responsible for managing the Fire Service Professional Certification Program at the Pennsylvania State Fire Academy. This role involves supervising a team of analysts and clerical staff, overseeing the development and coordination of certification programs, and supporting curriculum development efforts. The position requires strong research and data analysis skills, as well as a commitment to advancing the mission of the PA Fire Service.

Requirements

• Two years as a Fire Services Education Specialist or equivalent experience in fire and emergency service training programs.
• Three years of professional experience in developing and delivering fire and emergency service training programs, along with a bachelor's degree in fire science, public safety, adult education, or a related field.
• Fire and Emergency Services Instructor 2 certification from an accredited agency.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Fire Service Professional Certification Program administered by the PA State Fire Academy and the Office of the State Fire Commissioner.
• Supervise and direct a team of Fire Services Technical Analysts, a Program Analyst, and a clerical employee.
• Provide administrative direction and coordination for professional certification programs.
• Support OSFC/PSFA staff in tasks related to curricula development and certification influences.
