About The Position

As an Unarmed Security Officer, you will be part of a highly trained security team that supports critical facilities and infrastructure, public venues that required an enhanced presence and personal protective services. This position an integral part of the broad spectrum of specialized security services Inter-Con provides its clients every day.

Requirements

  • The Fire Safety Director (FSD) must hold a valid T-89 Certificate of Fitness and must supervise the fire safety and evacuation plan.
  • The owner shall designate a competent person(s) to act as FSP staff and conduct fire drills.
  • The owner shall ensure that adequate FSP staff is present on the premises during regular business hours (M-F 8:00am4:00pm), and at other times when the building is occupied, to perform the duties and responsibilities set forth in the fire safety and evacuation plan.
  • The Fire Safety Director must have at least three (5) years of applicable experience in fire prevention, building service equipment or a satisfactory combination.
  • Requirement is on an “as needed” basis.

Responsibilities

  • In the event of a fire, shall report the Fire Command Station to supervise, provide for and coordinate the following, but not limited to:
  • Ensuring the Fire Department has been notified of any fire or fire alarms
  • Manning of the Fire Command Station.
  • To initiate the operation of the building fire alarm voice communication system at the lobby fire alarm command center, when apprised of an all-hazard emergency weather the all-hazard is internal or external to the building. Supervises the actions and/or evacuations in the immediate threat are according to the approves EAP and is the liaison to first responders upon their arrival.
  • Develops all-hazard training programs for the floor warden team and emergency response brigade.
  • Maintain all EAP documents as well as conducting and supervising EAP drills.
  • Direction of evacuating procedures in the Fire Safety Plan.
  • Ensure that all elevators have been recalled to the lobby and that the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems have been turned off.
  • must plan and conduct periodic fire safety inspections. These inspections cover evaluation of fire hazards and address property safeguards
