What We Are Looking For Strong knowledge of fire prevention, fire protection systems, and NFPA standards Experience with industrial fire detection and suppression systems Ability to lead investigations, training, and cross‑functional safety initiatives Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills Comfort working in both field and office environments What We Offer Attractive pay rate, plus a profit share/gain share program Health plans with options that meet your needs, including a wellness program, gym reimbursement, and additional benefits such as pet insurance, legal insurance, and life insurance Paid maternity and paternity leave, a competitive vacation package, and company and floating holidays designed to support your work-life balance Retirement planning options, including generous employer contributions Opportunities to learn and develop, including tuition reimbursement and ongoing technical training In This Role, You Would Lead site‑wide fire safety and risk management programs to protect employees and assets Promote a strong fire prevention culture and proactively identify potential fire risks Conduct fire incident investigations and root cause analyses; manage reporting systems and corrective actions Coordinate fire system inspections, testing, maintenance, and impairments in line with NFPA and company standards Serve as the site liaison with local fire authorities and support emergency response and evacuation drills Train employees and contractors on fire hazards, prevention techniques, and fire protection systems Oversee contractors and vendors performing fire system inspections, maintenance, and repairs Maintain accurate fire system records, inspection reports, audit documentation, and insurance records Participate in shutdowns, projects, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives related to fire protection Provide subject‑matter expertise and support maintenance and operations teams as needed Physical Requirements Ability to move freely throughout the facility, including climbing stairs and ladders and navigating around equipment Cold and Hot weather exposure when troubleshooting and maintaining fire systems Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, lift, push, pull, and carry materials and equipment up to 50 pounds Endurance to stand and walk for extended periods in environments with dust, noise, chemicals, and varying temperatures Ability to work at heights using ladders, manlifts, and other access equipment Qualifications Required - High school diploma or equivalent. - 4+ years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment required.  Experience with fixed and non‑fixed fire suppression systems in an industrial environment - Strong verbal and written communication skills - Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel Preferred - Post‑secondary education in Fire Science or related field - NFPA certifications (e.g., Certified Fire Protection Specialist, Fire Inspector I/II) - Experience as a volunteer or paid firefighter – Experience with confined space rescue, hire hoses, building sprinkler systsm and risers - Mechanical or electrical maintenance experience - OSHA 10 or 40 training - Experience with systems such as Atex, Fenwal, Grecon, Minimax, Flamex, or PyroGuard  About Us: At ARAUCO, we’re more than a global leader in sustainable wood products—we’re a team driven by innovation, environmental stewardship, and strong core values. Requirements
