Airgas is Hiring for a Fire Protection Shop Technician in Charleston, WV! The Fire Protection Field Service Technician advises and assists customers for purposes of safeguarding life and property against fire, explosion, and related hazards by performing the following duties.

Nice To Haves

• Prefer, but not required at least One year Certificate from college or technical school; or two to four years related experience and/or training.

Responsibilities

• Recommends materials or equipment such as structural components protection, fire detection equipment, alarm systems, fire extinguishing devices and systems, and advises on location, handling, installation, and maintenance.
• Installs, inspects, and services customers fire suppression equipment and systems, including hood systems, on a timely basis.
• Picks up and delivers fire extinguishers to customers after repairs or testing have been completed.
• Recommends materials, equipment, or methods for alleviation of conditions conducive to fire.
• Provides complete and accurate documentation as required.
• Maintains adequate stock levels at customers locations.
• Solicits new or additional products or services.
• Maintains safe, well stocked company vehicles
