Job Summary: The fire Suppression systems inspector will be responsible for the completion of service requests at various locations throughout your given territory (the greater Roanoke area). This opening is for a professional, responsible state-licensed Fire Alarm and Sprinkler Inspector. Inspect and test fire alarm and sprinkler systems to ensure that they function effectively and meet NFPA standards. Full-Time Position Full-time with 40 hours weekly available, full benefits and PTO You will be responsible to meet service calls in an efficient manner Identify emergencies and respond quickly to support and assist customers in need Ability to use geographical maps, Google Maps, and read/understand maps to schedule effectively Customer Service Oriented You will be responsible to answer and manage incoming calls with customers and office staff Accurately keeping thorough documentation of service calls Other duties as needed

Requirements

Good written and verbal communication skills required; Good interpersonal skills required
4+ years of industry experience
Read and interpret diagrams, blueprints, and specifications
Fire Sprinkler Service/Inspection experience
Fire Sprinkler Manufacturer's Certifications
Good written and verbal communication skills required; Good interpersonal skills required
3 or more years of experience testing and inspecting commercial fire suppression systems
Basic skills using ipad
NICET Certification (or willingness to obtain the certification)
Must demonstrate excellent communication and listening skills
Ability to handle pressure, various tasks assigned, and meet deadlines
Ability to lift objects up to 50 lbs. and use a ladder up to 8-ft
Valid drivers license required.

Nice To Haves

Electrical/low voltage certification and/or construction background a plus

Responsibilities

Run test and inspection on fire alarm
run tests on fire sprinkler systems
Requires excellent communication skills with your Area Coordinator as requested for inspections completed, rescheduled etc.
