About The Position

The Fire Protection Specialist at Ethic Tech, LLC is responsible for overseeing and enhancing the Fire and Emergency Services (F&ES) Programs within the Department of Defense framework. This role involves conducting training needs assessments, managing training budgets, and ensuring compliance with various regulations and standards. The specialist will analyze data, prepare reports, and provide recommendations to leadership while collaborating with various stakeholders to improve fire protection strategies and training programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or seven years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Minimum of five years of related experience required.
  • IFSAC Certifications: Fire Officer 3, Fire Instructor 3, and Fire Inspector 2 are mandatory.
  • Competence with Microsoft Power BI or equivalent data analysis tools.
  • Proficiency with MS Office 365 (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including active listening and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure in emergencies and adapt to changing environments.
  • Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks.

Nice To Haves

  • NFPA Certified Fire Protection Specialist
  • Previous DoD, military, or aerospace facilities experience.
  • Knowledge of government codes such as Unified Facilities Criteria and DCMA 8210.

Responsibilities

  • Lead mission analysis of higher headquarters' operations orders to identify tasks and commander's intent.
  • Conduct surveys to identify training needs and analyze them to develop or modify training requirements.
  • Prepare and manage training budgets for the organization.
  • Assign personnel to training authorizations and keep leadership informed through presentations and reports.
  • Stay updated on relevant Department of Defense instructions and National Fire Protection Association standards, providing insights to leadership.
  • Travel as needed to support installation/base F&ES assessments.
  • Collect and analyze F&ES data, advising leadership on trends affecting the Army F&ES Enterprise.
  • Manage HQ AMC F&ES SharePoint Site permissions and upload necessary files.
  • Analyze and make recommendations regarding DoD and Army Protection Program Policy.
  • Monitor industry best practices and regulatory changes to ensure effective protection policies.
  • Collaborate with various specialists to produce protection-related projects and solutions.
