About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Fire Protection Project Manager / Superintendent to be part of our team in West Lafayette, IN, beginning onsite at the project on or before May 1st 2026. The Fire Protection Project Manager / Superintendent is responsible for planning, executing, and supervising all aspects of process gas system installation on semiconductor construction projects. This role ensures the safe, compliant, and on-schedule delivery of high-purity and specialty gas systems critical to semiconductor manufacturing operations. The successful candidate must be self-motivated, technically skilled, highly organized, communicate clearly and have a proven ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment. Candidates’ work history must represent increased levels of responsibility on a progressive basis throughout their career. Local Candidates Highly Preferred. A relocation package may be available. Requirements

  • Ability to manage and coordinate work across multiple clients and stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across all levels of an organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in LEAN construction practices.
  • OSHA 10 and/or OSHA 30 certification required.
  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to expand technical knowledge beyond current expertise.
  • 5–10 years of experience in construction execution or management within semiconductor, industrial, chemical, oil & gas, or manufacturing environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture or engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Equivalent experience in the field will be considered in lieu of formal education.

Responsibilities

  • Advise and manage all Fire Protection construction activities for a greenfield semiconductor manufacturing facility.
  • Maintain ownership of site construction performance tracking systems, including development and monitoring of key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Serve as a key stakeholder within the Owners Rep team, overseeing multiple projects from design through construction, commissioning, and close-out.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal business partners, clients, and external stakeholders.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and progress updates to client management, internal teams, and external parties as required.
  • Utilize and maintain proficiency in construction management tools, including Primavera P6, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Prepare project reports and documentation; coordinate closely with Facilities Operations, Engineering & Design, and Client Management teams.
  • Coordinate with local government agencies to support permitting, inspections, and regulatory compliance.
  • Foster strong relationships with the General Contractor and trade partners to promote productivity, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage and oversee the design and construction of hydronic, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
  • Review and interpret construction contract documents, drawings, and specifications.
  • Apply knowledge of fire protection system design and sizing, including mains, branch lines, sprinkler heads, and flow/density calculations.
  • Support and oversee construction, startup, commissioning, and turnover of fire protection systems.
  • Maintain working knowledge of controls and integration methods for mechanical and process systems.
  • Provide oversight of fire alarm system installation to ensure compliance with NFPA 72, applicable codes, and all Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) requirements.
  • Review and validate contractor installations against approved drawings, specifications, and manufacturer requirements.
  • Coordinate with design teams, contractors, and inspectors to ensure proper system integration and functionality.
  • Monitor installation quality, testing, and inspection activities to ensure systems meet project and life safety standards.
  • Support and witness testing, commissioning, and AHJ inspections, ensuring all deficiencies are resolved prior to acceptance.
  • Verify completion of as-built documentation, test reports, and certifications prior to system turnover.
